Dr. Andrea Nikolić presented the results obtained within the PhotoSCLART project at the 20th edition of Blue Danube Symposium on Heterocycles in Chemistry held in Prague, Czech Republic in August 2024.

Two of our project team members, Ljiljana Koračak, PhD student, and Dr. Vladimir Ajdačić attended XXVIII EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry held in Rome, Italy in September 2024. They had an opportunity to present the latest results on synthesis and anticancer activity of sclareol and artesunate derivatives.

The results of the PhotoSCLART project were presented at the 1st Regional Congress (SHM1RC), organized by the national associations for cancer research from Serbia, Croatia, and Türkiye (SDIR, HDIR, and MOKAD) under the auspices of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR). The congress was held in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 8–10 2025, in conjunction with the SDIR 7th Biannual Meeting.
Dr. Ana Podolski-Renić presented the project results during the poster session, while Ema Lupšić presented a poster and was selected for a short oral presentation.
Members of the PhotoSCLART project also contributed to the organization of the congress. Dr. Milica Pešić served as SDIR Vice President and Co-Chair of the SHM1RC Scientific Committee, Dr. Ana Podolski-Renić was a member of the Scientific Committee, and Ema Lupšić was part of the Organizing Committee.

Members of the PhotoSCLART project team, Ana Stepanović and Ema Lupšić, presented the latest findings of the project at the EACR 2026 Congress: “Innovative Cancer Science”, held in Budapest from June 8th to 11th, 2026.
The 61st Meeting of the Serbian Chemical Society, held on June 4th and 5th, 2026, at the Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac, provided an opportunity for members of the PhotoSCLART project to present recent scientific results in the field of medicinal chemistry, obtained within the project. The results were presented through both oral and poster presentations.
As part of the oral session, Dr. Andrea Nikolić presented an overview of the PhotoSCLART project and highlighted the key scientific results achieved during the first two years of the project.
During the poster session, Dr. Milica Selaković presented the project results and received the IUPAC Best Poster Presentation Award for the poster entitled
Novel artesunate hybrids combat P-gp-mediated multidrug resistance in non-small cell lung carcinoma.
Dr. Ana Andrijević presented the latest results on the synthesis and anticancer activity of adamantane-sclareol hybrids targeting multidrug-resistant non-small cell lung cancer during the poster session.
PhD student Ljiljana Koračak presented the latest research findings on the synthesis and anticancer activity of artesunate-pyrimidine derivatives during the poster session.
